During my recent stay at Hostal Peñalta, I discovered a tranquil haven, perfect for those seeking relaxation. The rooms were clean and filled with natural light, creating a peaceful atmosphere ideal for unwinding. The location was undeniably beautiful, offering a serene environment that aligns with my appreciation for nature as an environmental scientist. One notable aspect was the spa services, which provided a welcome reprieve after days of exploration. I enjoyed the option of a doctor on-call service, ensuring peace of mind during my stay. The food, while basic, was well-prepared and tasty. I particularly appreciated the three-course menu at a reasonable price, which included freshly cooked meat from their barbecue – a culinary nod that reminded me of home in New Zealand. While the owner spoke little English, their warmth and hospitality shone through, making communication an enjoyable experience despite the language barrier. If you're looking for a calm retreat with satisfying meals and spa services, Hostal Peñalta could be an excellent choice for your next getaway. It certainly provided the rejuvenation I sought.
